Cold Spring Police Department's Website

The Cold Spring Police Department provides Police services for the City of Cold Spring and the City of Richmond in Stearns County.

The agency consists of eleven Officers, including a Chief of Police, two Patrol Sergeants, K9 Officer, School Resource Officer, seven full time Officers, and an administrative assistant. Our department is a participant in the anti-drug program CounterAct and teaches these classes for the Rocori School District.

Cold Spring, Minnesota

Visit the Officer Thomas Edward Decker police memorial in Cold Spring, MN, who gave his life on November 29th, 2012.

Responding to a welfare check at an apartment unit above Winner’s Bar, Officer Decker, a 31-year-old father of four, was ambushed and shot. Officer Decker made the ultimate sacrifice as a peacekeeper for the citizens of the greater Cold Spring community. He stands as an immortal representative of police officers everywhere. As Abraham Lincoln said at Gettysburg in 1863, he has given “the last full measure of devotion.”

This monument is in memory of Officer Decker and his sacrifice, as well as an appreciation for the Cold Spring Police Department.
