Splash Pad Park
Alexander Park & Firefighters Splash Pad
History in the Making
It started with a group of people who shared a vision. Cold Spring was already a destination city, but one thing was missing: a splash pad; a place for kids to enjoy healthy outdoor play and for families and friends to connect in a park with something fun for everyone.
The mission of the Cold Spring Splash Pad Committee is to bring this dream to life. So let's make history!
Why this location for a park and splash pad?
- Beautiful location next to the Sauk River
- Welcoming location at one of the City's gateways
- Adjacent to the Rocori Trail
- Connects to the City's river promenade
- Close to downtown businesses and other fun things to do
- Bandstand area designated for outdoor music and other events
Alexander Park
How it began
The legacy of this piece of land begins in 1898 when the Alexander family started Rockville Granite Company. In the 1920's the company moved to Cold Spring and changed the name to Cold Spring Granite.
In 2008, Cold Spring Granite moved their operations and vacated this property. The City of Cold Spring purchased it and plans are underway to build Alexander Park in this location.
