Cold Spring Police Officers
Officer Tom Decker
Officer Thomas "Tommy" Decker was killed in the line of duty on the evening of November 29, 2012. Tommy was responding to check on the welfare of an individual and was shot shortly after exiting his squad car.
Tommy was a 2002 graduate of Alexandria Technical College receiving an A.A.S. Degree in Law Enforcement. Tommy worked in the City of Isle, the City of Watkins, and the City of Kimball before accepting a full time position with the Cold Spring- Richmond Police Department in March of 2006.
Tommy was an active member in the community and the Police Department. During his years of service Tommy was a firearms instructor, Cornerhouse certified, received five Letters of Appreciation and one Special Commendation, which is the department's second highest award involving heroism. Tommy was also known to everyone as the department jokester and was always in a good mood.
Tommy will be greatly missed by many, including his wife Alicia and four children Kelly, Jade, Justin and Devon.

Chief Jason Blum
Chief Blum is a 2003 graduate of St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law Enforcement. Officer Blum began his career working part-time for the City of Melrose before also accepting a part-time position with the City of Cold Spring in September of 2006. In October of 2007, Officer Blum accepted a full-time position with the Cold Spring-Richmond Police Department. Officer Blum is a Rocori graduate and now serves the community he grew up in. In January of 2009 Officer Blum received a Life Saving Award along with fellow Officer Ruben Zayas and Sergeant Chris Boucher. In October of 2016 he was appointed to Interim Chief of Police and was named Chief of Police in May of 2017.

Officer Eric Boucher
Officer Eric Boucher was hired by the Cold Spring Police Department in December of 2004. Eric previously worked for Richmond Police Department and Meeker County Sheriff's Department. Officer Boucher graduated from Central Lakes College in Brainerd in 2004 with an A.S. in Law Enforcement.

Sergeant Christi Hoffman
Sergeant Christi Hoffman is a graduate from St. Cloud State University and has a Master’s Degree in Public Safety Executive Leadership (PSEL). Christi worked at St. Cloud State University Public Safety Dept. as a Lieutenant, in 2008 Christi was hired as a part-time police officer for the Cold Spring/Richmond Police Department. In January of 2013, Christi was hired full-time with Cold Spring-Richmond Police Department and promoted to Sergeant in June of 2021. Christi is an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police where she volunteers for the different functions that they sponsor.

Officer Anita Henningsgaard
Officer Anita Henningsgaard is a 2013 graduate from Alexander Technical & Community College for an AAS degree in Law Enforcement. In October of 2013 Officer Henningsgaard was hired part-time with the Cold Spring – Richmond Police Department. Officer Henningsgaard also worked part-time for the Kimball Police Department. In July of 2015 Officer Henningsgaard was hired as a full-time officer for the Cold Spring-Richmond Police Department.

Officer Brady Goebel
Officer Brady Goebel is a 2016 graduate from Alexandria Technical & Community College with an AAS degree in Law Enforcement. In 2016 Officer Goebel was hired part-time with the Cold Spring-Richmond Police Department and shortly after moved to a temporary full-time status before becoming full-time. Officer Goebel has held several different titles while at Cold Spring-Richmond Police Department to include, Firearms instructor, Use of Force Instructor and Field Training Officer.

Officer Alton Hegg
Officer Hegg graduated from Alexandria Technical and Community College in the Spring of 2020. He started his career for the Paynesville Police Department for two years and has been with the Cold Spring Richmond Police Department since February of 2022.

Officer Brodey Sweeter is a 2023 graduate from Alexandria Technical & Community College with an AAS degree in Law Enforcement. In July of 2023, Officer Sweeter was hired as a full-time police officer for the Cold Spring-Richmond Police Department.
