Cold Spring is a statutory city and is governed by a Mayor and a four member Council. The Mayor serves a two-year term and council members each serve a four-year term with two members being elected at alternate two-year intervals.
City Council meetings are held at 5:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in the city council chambers at City Hall, view Council minutes online.

The functions of the City are coordinated through the City Administrator and Finance Director. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing and coordinating all municipal activities.
