Frogtown Park

Frogtown Park is nestled on the north side of town at the eastern end of Second Street North next to the Sauk River, in what has long been considered the Frogtown area. Construction on the park started September 2002 and was funded partially by a grant received from the Department of Natural Resources.

Frogtown Park offers attractions for those of all ages. The youngsters are sure to enjoy the wide-open areas, and a large playground system outfitted with many exciting accessories.  Meanwhile adults will appreciate the peaceful surroundings of the river and tarred walking and bike path.  In addition, the park also has a canoe landing access to the Sauk River and a few areas on the banks to fish from. With plenty of grassy areas and picnic tables this park is also excellent location for picnics with the whole family.

One of the most noticeable features at the park is the rental shelter and paved parking area. The well-equipped shelter is available to be reserved for events and gatherings. The shelter consists of a kitchen complete with a double sink, refrigerator, stove, oven, granite counter space and an ample supply of outlets. There is also a large area with tables and chairs to seat 50+ people, which has the option of being enclosed or open with the convenience of five overhead garage doors. In addition, the shelter also has indoor restrooms that are accessible daytime hours during the week. These great features make this park shelter ideal for large gatherings, regardless of the weather, rain or shine.
